The flame extinguished

The flame extinguished

The flame, dancing too near the edge..
versus the straight and true...
Breaks that which was once whole..
and lovely to behold..
Rings of gold..
set around glass...
now broken beyond repair..

typical padder- has a candle holder
break.. keeps it for a Pad..
Blows out the candle..after taking shots..
realizes the smoke would make an interesting shot
looks at shot.. thinks of poem....
back to homework and reading Mentoring in Tao
fashion.. (no wonder I'm getting philosphical!)
Smile ya all!

Richly evocative.

This is just so beautiful, even in ruin, something so perfect.

Great composition. Love the dark quality and the broken holder adds an air of mystery.

Dawn, you're a bonafide PaD-er, of that there's no doubt. You described well what we've all done (and will do again, trust me!). Good work.

Your descriptions are as nice as the pictures, and the pictures are great. Especially this one.

Yes, nice combo

I love how things evolve when shooting my PaD shot. Sometimes I know exactly what I want, other times things flow and the rest of the time I shot crappy shots!

Good combo of poem and pix. I'd say more more I'm getting smoke in my eyes! LOL
