January 7b: Farmer in the Dell?

Rancho Berardo, CA

This is a crummy picture color-wise, etc., but it tells the story I want to share.
I’ll get CS and other programs loaded tomorrow. For now I’m just happy it came and is working well.

Pentax Optio 550
1/40s f/2.8 at 7.8mm with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

You don't have children, right? So no need trying to pass an inheritance on. And you're still working and probably won't ever fully retire. You like it so much. Congrats on your latest toy.

Andy Just got a new System as well. You should create a home network now so you can do some extra fancy stuff! Like Storage!

Don't fotgrt to add an outside drive to backup your files!

Wow, new toys. That's my favourite. Enjoy!

Ummm, you might want to check the shipping address. Are you sure it didn't say Irvine on it? :-D

congrats on the new Dell machine, router and modem. I don't think it will do much for PBase, though.

Good luck Robin. I find putting computer kit together and loading programmes about as much fun as home improvement!

Getting set up with all the programs loaded and such is so much work - good luck. Hope you sprung for a dual-head system. ;-) For full-speed PSCS work, you need a second monitor for the toolbars, you know ... of course it's easy to spend somebody else's money! Ha!

The difference between men and boys, is the prices of their toys, need I say more? ;-) Congrats Robin, have a ball!

Cool! I just got a new emachines desktop - it's amazing how much faster Photoshop runs on a clean load of Windows.
Gary Winters08-Jan-2005 05:59
Well, well, well. And didn't you just get that 20D? And what about the new zoom? Your reputation as a guy with toys won't be tarnished by this image, Robin! LOL. Congratulations! (although it's not a Mac, but what the heck...)

I'll report more fully later in the week.
Too occupied loading programs ... etc. Cheers to all.

You can always play with the empty boxes.

Is that the free printer that came with it? I got a free printer with mine and decided to sell it on ebay. You know what I found on ebay? 9 million other folks who all got the same free printer!

So, what have you bought yourself? I want ALL the techy details.

Those boxes are familier, we bought two of each for our "married with children," children, for Christmas. Had such fun wrapping then...I don't think!!

Wow, new toys, Robin! What have you got-I see a wireless router, maybe, notebook and monitor? How about another pic of the new setup?? Have fun!
