It isn't the technical aspect or composition of this photo that makes it special, it is the subject. We were on vacation camping on Edisto Island, SC. This sting ray had just been caught by our neighbor camper and was being released. As I was snapping away on the beach, we noticed something strange had happened, the sting ray had just given birth. As I was reviewing my pictures, I realized that I had caught the moment! I was then able to share the photo with the fisherman and it made his day. I think that is one of the great aspects of photography. Being able to capture once in a lifetime moments and then share them.
