Snow 80

I remember when this was taken, while out on the highway you could only see the tops of trees and buildings the snow plows had the snow that high, and that view was when driving a pickup or van. In town if you were in a car crossing a busy intersection, you had very little view at all. I know there are places that get more snow, but we got a lot that year, and it all stayed on the ground...not melting. This van had the motor between the front seats, which I considered a good thing, since it was warmer that way.

I had a few of these too, Barri. The last one was a '68, with a 318 if I recall. Fun vans to drive, love the automatic stick on the dash. :-)

Haha I had to remember this aniversary (I have forgotten others ;-)). Yeah we had the most snow that year that I can remember. Yeah was a cool van, I wasn't driving it at the time, but was mine, had lots of power for a little one, a fairly good sized V8...gas mileage;-( but it was cheap back then. Thanks colors.

Hey I really like this photo, cool composition...really nifty little van and it does
look like a tiny little thing amidst the huge snow piles...I like that too!

Well that'd be giving away my age...hahaa. Let's just say it was right when I got married and I've been married this year for 25 years (and for once didn't forget the aniversary, cause if I would have I probably wouldn't be here to answer this)

Look at that old van! Positively retro. And it looks so small amongst the piles of snow. Wild. How old were you, slinging that camera?
