A look at daily life India.
'Lungi' is a very South Indian attire. It is worn by men (yes, men), mostly within
the comforts of their home. In the villages, most men wear this in the evenings while
relaxing. If you watch a South Indian movie, you will most likely see this pose. This is
a classic pose of rowdism, where the villain rolls up his lungi, flexes his muscles, smokes
a 'beedi', a cheap cigarette, and gets ready to fight.
The more sophisticated version of the the lungi is the 'Dhoti' or 'Veshti'. This is worn
by men at traditional functions. While the dhoti is mostly white and made of silk or cotton,
the lungi is usually made from cotton and comes in many different colors and patterns.

PS(not photoshop) - I had to improvise with a sarong from Malaysia gifted to a friend by another. Oops. But this is how lungis look and are worn.
