The snow lamp is used by the japanese on their gardens. During the winter they put a candle or something else (in the hole you see) to illuminate the gardens. That's why it's called snow lamp.

Very nice! great focus through the opening into a beautiful garden. The eye does hit the shadow first but then easily locked in on the flower, I was just wondering if a square crop would work, maybe a bit more stone on the top and bottom or less of the sides? It's your call :-)

I found it hard to focus at first, it looked like a square box with a shadow sitting on stone. Maybe a little too much foreground. Good shot though.
