'Filmi' is the Indian slang for over dramatization.
India is the world's largest producer of films. Every year almost a thousand movies
are churned out and to the billion Indians this is the best source of entertainment.
The stars are bigger than life, the stories are grander than fiction and the industry
serves as the livelihood for millions.
'Bollywood', 'Kollywood', 'Tollywood', these are just some of the film industries in
