One man and his Windmill by Quentin Bargate

The newly restored windmill at Pakenham, Suffolk, England.
P.S a sunny day in November in England? Must be global warming...

Thanks Albert, Kim & Flick, glad you liked them. The mill had just been re-tarred and the highlights played havok with the Kodak sensor :-). Light is good this time of year, but we don't often get blue skies, so I was a tad lucky here - Quentin

Quentin, how can you produce an evocative sequence like this and then claim lack of imagination??? i love the story this tells: the sense of the mill as something enduring across history, then the proud owner (love the light and shadow in this) and then the emphasis on the mill itself again, the sense that it will be there long after the owner has gone. Beautiful, beautiful images that show a glimpse of the way life once was.
Flick.

It appears to be covered in asphalt...but still reflects a golden glow. Pretty! --Kim
