Vegetable Steamer

I had no good ideas today for a PaD. None. I wandered about
my place, forlorn and inconsolable. I opened cupboard doors
looking for inspiration -- and found it with a simple
vegetable steamer. This turned into a fun image to take and
then, to process. Looks rather like a UFO, no?

Hope you enjoy it too!

Speilberg eat your (steamed) heart out! Great sculptural shot! :)

Very cool, Gary. You're right about the UFO quality, although I must admit, since I steam all vegetables, I knew immediately what it was. Genius, huh? ; )

Suppose you'll be wanting my veggies for this, now?? Have a big bucket of BS you can have. Just don't get your face right down into this, it gets HOT!

Really like this in small mode-could be a spaceship, or some kind of Egyptian Sun medallion. Clever to see the potential and good post work.

Fantastic looks like some sort of galactic sea anemone

Very creative Gary. Clearly something to get steamed up about.
A nit... it is too dark for me.

A really good abstract, Gary.

This is very clever, Gary. I love the toning and the way the perforations glow a little. It makes me think of a landing bay for some alien mothership.

Great shot.. excellent lighting and color! At first i thought it was almost a discolored sunflower. I too had found one of those hanging around the house and used it for a pad :)http://www.pbase.com/karatemaster/image/27225763
