Taken in the days when Solihull was a pleasure to visit. I last went there ten years
ago, when it had become so anti-motorist that is has ceased to exist as far as I'm
concerned. Maybe I'll go some time in the future with my Senior Citizen 'bus pass...

This is one of the reasons I went to the U.S. to get away from toffee nosed brod's like this one from Solihull.!!!!!!!

It's pronounced Sollyhull by 'Old' Silhillians who have lived here all their lives, or have been to one of the town's fee paying schools, or news readers with received BBC pronunciation. It's pronounced Sole-i-hull by the rest of us. And I do like having the High Street pedestrianised.

one thing i never got to find out when living in the Birmingham area : is it pronounced Soli-hull, or So-li-hull ?

solihull can only be better for re- thinking it's design to give people and safe and attractive town to walk in and realx in without the fear of cars

I take my hat off to the planners for giving the town back to the people
