In the late 50's my mother and I used to visit a fellow Methodist church member that lived on this site, Marion Wygant. She had cataracts and couldn't see well...I remember the huge lense on her TV set.
As the 60's rolled on there was an unasvaoury element in this area associated with drugs. It was quite notorious in its time, but that soon faded. It bcame more "hippy" and "organic" for whatever that's worth.
Nearby was Tinney's Cadillac and the Trico Windshield Wiper Plant.
Great memories!!

Growing up in the late 1970s we used to go to Johnson's General Store, which was located a couple of doors down on Greenfield, to buy candy. One day our parents forbade us from further trips to Johnson's. I don't recall the reason but it may have had something to do with selling rolling papers or beer to minors.
