A very dramatic composition, well conceived and skillfully presented.

I do not grow tired of contemplating this remarkable image. The subject possesses a strong visual beauty and the exposure of the lights and the plumes of smoke is superlative. Wonderful image, Barri. GMV.

Thanks Marisa, Fabienne and Günter...I remember doing a time exposure on this and although I never really planned it (I should say I did ;-) it gave the clouds of smoke sort of an eiree effect.

Amazing reflection.. it's a very powerful image, I had the feeling that the hole world is on fire here.. industrialization is making the lethal work.

Thanks Eddie
When we pulled into Wisconsin Rapids that night it looked like Gotham City in the Batman movies. Then we got down to the river...and I very seldom take my tripod or cable release with since I wasn't expecting to do night shots. Funny how we can improvise when we have to...park bench-self timer, if I remember it was such a neat scene I took a bunch of shots and bracketed the exposures...think I used nearly 3/4 of a roll. Thanks again

Barri, this is a fantastic image. The way you captured the plant and the steam/smoke off the stacks is beautiful, and if that weren't enough, the reflection of it all in the water makes this stand out from the other industrial shots I've seen.

Thanks Wei
I think I used a park bench for a tripod on this one...and the camera's self timer to avoid shake.

Beaitful night scene. Very well composed.

Yeah the way the smoke drifted off in the time exposure made it look a little unearthly.
Thanks Bruce,

This is nice - brings forth thoughts of industry and fire, but also botany. Like a garden of odd flower pieces.
