Thought I'd play around with a little still-life today.

Still-lifes are not my strong suit; I usually haven't the patience for any sort of set-up.
However, standing in one place for ten minutes trying to get a good bee or butterfly shot doesn't bother me at all...go figure.

I noticed this cherry in the bunch that I got the other day and really liked the little leaf hanging on so I saved it.

This was shot on a tumbled marble tile with the sun coming indirectly from a skylight through a kind of rice paper screen. I was too lazy to get the tripod and actually don't have a small one anyway, so this was hand-held.
