Omaha Easy Red Beach Exit E-1

This was the exit from Omaha Beach - Easy Red, that was used in June 1944
by the US Forces during the Initial Assault. This access road followed the
gravel path in the middle of the photo, straight up from the water, then to
the right, past the emplacement in the direction of St. Laurent-sur-Mer. This was known as the
Ruquet Valley. German Gun Emplacement WN #65.

Dear Mr. Searl,

My father was a Bosn's Mate on LCT 642 in Task Group 124.5 that landed on Easy Red. Maybe you could take a look at the photos I have put up on the website. Just google LCT 642 and Louis Ambrosio. I would post the Website but this comment section will not let me.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
