Plum-headed Parakeet

Jurong Birdpark, Singapore

Latin name: Psittacula cyanocephala (Linnaeus, 1766).

Distribution: Sri Lanka, Rameswaram Island, India, East of Rawalpindi in Pakistan and Nepal to
Bhutan and West Bengal. Natural diet: Seeds, fruits, nuts, flowers, pollen and leaf buds; damages crop in fruit plantations and rice fields in some areas.

Hi Robert, This seems to me to be a male Psittacula cyanocephala (Plum-headed Parakeet). However, it is at time a tough call differentiating this from Psittacula roseata.
