Sky-Scraper (Clean Skies) * Second

I've reworked this taking into account the comments regarding the positioning of the blue strip. This should look more like it is from the sponge side of the squeegee.

It's great how you managed to visualize and apply the words to pictures so well - Techo.

Good job, better idea.

Yup!

Okay, everyone, does the blue streak look more realistic and coming from the sponge side of the squeegee?
Paul Sumi11-Jul-2004 22:31
Hi Shu, thanks for your comments, it was a fun idea to actually put together.

This is great! Clever thinking and shooting! Shu

Nugar, thanks for you comments. Yes I agree I need to go back and "fix" the blue streak to fit the sponge side better.
Nugar10-Jul-2004 20:06
Great idea! I like the selective desaturation. * If you decide to rework it, you may want to start the blue area from the sponge side, since that would be the side "touching" the sky. (Or turn arround the squeegee, so the rubber side points towards the sky).

Thanks, everyone, for your comments.

Ana - I wish all dreary/gloomy days were so easily remedied. :-)

Mary Anne, I agree with your critique about more "blue" sky, I may re-work this to do that. No background in art or graphics but I did take some art history in college. This image was influenced by the Belgian surrealist artist, Rene Magritte, whose paintings I find fascinating.

Lonnit - Gotcha! It'll be interesting to see what Iso actually comes up with for this challenge.

You got me on this Paul - I thought it was an Iso! LOL! Very creative! ~ Lonnit

A little more blue area would probably be more eye-catching, but I love the concept and the overall composition. You have such a wonderful way of saying something with a simple uncluttered photo. Do you have a background in art/graphic design?
