The Sunflower

Rancho Bernardo, CA

I post this albino sunflower as a toast to the beginning of the summer season (in the Northern Hemisphere that is.)
Of course we get varying degrees of summer around here all year ‘round, but we can tell the difference with warmer ocean temperatures, more tourists, and the Del Mar Fair and Racing seasons.

Outstanding, Robin. Your photoshop (and photography) skills have grown by amazing leaps and bounds in the past year. This one I consider one of your best. Great job!

Excellent PS work, Robin. I think you can stop being PS pupil and start being PS prof. now!!

I think even with your tech notes folks aren't getting that this is a man made albino flower which should tell you that either a) people don't pay attention to detail or b) you did a stellar job with your conversion. My vote is with "b" Really nice Robin. A beautiful albino indeed!

Cool..., I have never seen an albino sunflower!

(Blush) Perhaps I should have been a skosh more forthcoming in my technical data. The "albino" part is because I desaturated a yellow sunflowr! ;-)

Awesome shot, love the colors and compostion, and the framing is very, very complimentary. I have never seen or heard of an albino sunflower, how neat.

How cool is that!! Is that a fluke albino?? Lovely against the traditional, pigmented variety.

Everything works with this one-from the thumb I thought it a painting. Print and frame. Happy summer!!
