June 3: En Garde to Penny and Herb and Kai etc.

Rancho Bernardo, CA

To all of you who do such a wonderful job of catching wildlife with your big lens, I’d like to share with you that my new birthday present is the Canon 70 – 200 mm, f/2.8 IS USM lens with an added 2x EF extender.

Now we will find out if I can figure out if I can learn to point and shoot this thing, or if I will need to get more hands on lessons from Herb and Kai.

First photo tonight was this moon shot http://www.pbase.com/image/29735860. Advice and help please.

Let me know how that 2x converter goes - I use a 70-200L also and am thinking about a 2x TC.

Hey, I've got a BIG B-day coming up. Maybe I could forward this as a hint to all the kids, and parents, and aunts and uncles, and 1st grade teacher........

Expect big things from this honker!
