Mosaic of Comet C/2001 Q4 (NEAT) imaged combined from 2 image sets, the first head section is 7x3min mid exposure May 10.35 UT, 2004, while the outer tail section at 10.37 UT , 2004 , is 8x3mins. Red, green and blue channels were combined to create a greyscale image. This is a 16x16 degree wide field of view showing 19 degrees of tail! The comet has trailed slightly during this exposure and the tail section image set was re-aligned to compensate. Processing was done in IRIS.
