Connolly Beach is where I spent every summer when I was young. I am 87 now and dream about it still and it's wonderful isolation.

The reason some people know it as CONNOLLY beach is because my uncle owned the property when I was a child. Spent many summers at this beach with my cousins before anyone really knew it existed . . .Very rarely did we see other people there when we went to swim. We would jump in the ocean first and then all run for the lake because the lake would feel so warm after our ocean plunge.

It's called Long Beach, not Connelly's Beach. It can't belong to anyone when everyone is attached to it in someway. It's the most wonderful place ever, A beautiful Ocean and a marvoluse Lake. It can't get any better then that.
I think I played on this beach as a child with my brother John. I wonder if the sandbar is gone.

I am from East Chezzetcook, moved to Dartmouth 4 years ago, but every time I am out home I go to Long Beach. The way it is in this picture is what you will find here. If the patch of grass was not there, you would see the fresh water lake that is there. The best place for swimming. Love the picture,
