Helen, Stazie, and Lady Liberty *
by Victor Engel

It was an overcast day when my daughters and I visited the statue of liberty. I noticed it would be easy to position the sun right behind the flame, so I posed the girls and snapped a picture. I'll try to dig up the negative and reprocess this. It could use some work.

Yes, I tend to agree. I may have another one like that since it was rather difficult to get the girls into the picture with the lens that I had, but it is not scanned and would only be on negative, if it even exists. I had to zoom it to its widest setting, if I recall correctly, and I also had to lie down on the grass. This was the first and only time we've been to the Statue of Liberty, so my purpose at the time was to document that the girls were there.

By the way, many people think my daughters are twins. They are not. They are about 18 months apart. To illustrate, though, how similar they look. I took their faces from this picture and combined them together. It was weird how you couldn't tell who it was since obviously it was both of them. Yet it didn't look fake. -- Victor

I like your image but, if it were me, I would have focused my attention (pun) on the lady liberty light situation in this image and left the nice young girls out of the image altogether :-) (no offense, girls) Markjay
