Moraine Lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks

Banff National Park, Canada. This is a scanned image from my ancient film archives. The details of the reflections are somewhat muted from the original image, but this is one of my favorite locations anywhere.

Yashica 230-AF ,28-80mm

other sizes: small medium original auto

Wow, it did not look like this last month when we went. Mostly cloudy, I love the colors. Just fantastic. Best shots I have ever seen of this. Also, I think it is my favorite site I have seem to date. I sat on a rock for almost three hours just taking in the beauty of it. (I was also waiting for the sun to come out for a shot like this.) It never happened.

Beautiful image and you have wonderful control of the exposure.

Lovely!! but I believe you will also like JiuZhaigou in Sichuan, China.
I have some pictures there and will upload more later.

Very nice indeed but i think it seems like over sharped by PS. I would love to see the original though. Great foto, thanks!

I have been to many countries around the world but must agree with you that this must be one of the most beautiful places.

Great photo!

I agree -- this place was fantastic. I was there on my honeymoon in September of '91, canoed in Lake Louise in 70 degree weather, then woke to 4 inches of snow the next morning and headed right here.

I can understand it's one of your favorite location. I've been there too (5-6 years ago) and got some nice shots too. Unfortunately they are still on paper and I didn't had the occasion yet to scan them.
If you're interested in (nice?) travel pics (Ireland, France, Maldives, Scotland, Morocco, Spain, etc.) visit my galleries.
