I take full resposibility for killing this plant. This flower appeared during the summer of '03 by the sidewalk near our front porch. It was a beautiful red flower of some sort. I thought it might be a weed but didn't want to kill it because of it's beauty.

Well, one day I decided to give it a better home and put it in the container you see above. That was the beginning of the end. It struggled during the fall and I didn't do anything about it. Then along came winter to put the final nail in the coffin.
