This distant image of a Laysan was taken at Kilauea Point NWR. This is the most regular location for this species in the main Hawaiian islands. I got my "lifer" Laysan while waiting for the Refuge gates to open, when one effortlessly glided by, being my 1st Albatross encounter, I was truly impressed.
