1992 To The Lake

In early 1992, while our daughter was a senior in high school, Jennifer announced we were moving. "Why?" I asked. "We need a life-style change." she said. "Where?" I asked, she said "I don't know, I haven't found it yet." In a few weeks she found it. It was a small house on the shore of Lake Erie, with its' own beach. It was about half the size of our then current home. We made an offer, and sold our house. Our daughter left home in late August, going away to college, and we moved two weeks later. I came to understand what she meant about a life-style change; we avoided empty nest syndrome, and our new lakefront home was like being on vacation all the time. Now I can't imagine living away from the water. Once again, Jennifer made the right choice at the right time.
