The "Upper world" is part III of my Black-and-White Mountains haiku, which represents the world of high mountains, nearly invisible to many of us from the "Lower world" (part I). The "Connection" (part II) is a narrow bridge between these worlds. Only a few of us can pass through it. Please, don't hesitate to take a look at the remaining two parts of this work in my folder.
All three shots have been taken in Alaskan Range mountains region; Mount McKinley area, Alaska, USA; red and UV filters have been used; further cropping and resizing in Photoshop 8.
