Thank you Rick for your excellent comment. I just came across some production figures for this car. If I am to believe these figures very few of these were made in the first place. 679? How many are left today?
1953 Buick Estate Wagon. Last year for Buick "Woodies". In 1954, Buick station wagons would be all steel, and only available on the smaller wheelbase Century and Special series. Previous Buick Estate wagons were based on the larger Roadmaster-Super wheelbase and chassis. The next big news in Buick station wagons would be in 1957 when Buick debuted its "Hardtop" wagon (no posts or pillars between the front and back doors) called "Caballero".
