Today it's David's turn to wait for me. I don't know why but I've had even more heart palpitations today than yesterday. Maybe it's because of the late hour yesterday when David eventually came home. Last night I spent the entire evening checking the time at two minute intervals and looking at every car that came up the road. When the Lotus pulled into the drive I don't think I've ever felt so happy. Tonight, I can't describe the feeling when I walked over the bridge to see him pulling into his usual space and waiting for me.
I think it was a bit of a shock to him to be in a really dull, utilitarian car today rather than the Elise he's been used to for the last week. Though the way he flung it about on the way home from the station I think he'd not remembered that he was in a boring old Vectra estate rather than something better!
David, it's so good to have you home. I don't feel whole without you.
