Dear Dept of Justice, as you already know I have filed a complaint against Advance Auto( file # 180957 ) due to an unethical unfair excuse they used to keep giving me my full refund of 1530 dollars that incurred to me for replace transmission costs due to their selling a mistooled CV axle for my car which Advance Auto has CONFIRMED to be defective and the reason for my transmission to lose fluid and destroyed.
Upon a phone call with Amanda of Advance Auto ... 505 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292 (336) 243-2751 , I was told that I would only receive 763 dollars because I did not check for leaks ( due to THEIR faulty axle ) and I was supposed to notice driveability issues but noticed NONE. No one told me to check for leaks and I have never seen nor signed anything saying it was my responsibility to check for leaks. After finding out that your office could not help me get my full refund I began to search for the money that Amanda said I would recieve. This when it gets mysterious. I made many calls to Advance Warranty Dept trying to find information about this money that was " awarded " to me. I kept getting this repliy " since I am not the original parts purchaser that they could not discuss the matter". But upon numerous calls some one must have finally showed compassion to me and divulged this information; that there was a check written due to Amandas filing a warranty claim for me in the amount of 763 dollars and the check number was 420024 and it was written on Aug 20 and (( CASHED )) on Aug 31 !!
I have been calling and emailing a Camille S at Firestone Warranty Claims to find out where this check was sent to exactly so i can be reimbursed for it. Advance Auto personel said it was protocol to send all awarded warranty claims to the original parts purchaser and in this claim since it was Firestone that it would be sent to Firestone Headquarters ( probably the one in Nashville Tennesee which is called Bridgestone. She claims she can not find any record of such a payment to Firestone.

Both Advance Auto Warranty Dept and Advance Auto Corporate HQ Warranty Claims Escalation Manager Savanna Hodges in Roanoke VA have told me that the 763 dollars would be sent to Firestone Corporate because they are the original purchasers of this axle that was later to be found defective. The warranty claim that I asked for was initiated by Amanda at Advance Auto Lexington NC and that claim number is 677842. If you called Advance Auto Warranty you can find that that the claim number has my name and my vehicle included in it !! WHEN I BROUGHT THE AXLE TO AMANDA WHY DIDNT SHE TELL ME THEN TO HAVE FIRESTONE FILE THE CLAIM AND LET THEM GIVE ME THE AWARDED MONEY INSTEAD OF HER FILING IT AND HAVING THAT MONEY SENT TO FIRESTONE AND LEAVING ME OUT OF THE PICTURE ? SHAME ON HER !! AS A MANAGER SHE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER !
On 10-12-18 I spoke with Savanna Hodges of Advance Auto Headquarters Warranty Claims and she told me like a lower level Advance Warranty Claim office did that the warranty claim belongs to Firestone EVEN THOUGH I WAS THE ONE INITIATED THE WARRANTY FILING WITH AMANDA HERE IN LEXINGTON !! And since the money was sent to Firestone I would have to search Firestone for it and they Advance Auto could do nothing to help me out beyond what I have told you.
I am begging you to find out where this money was sent to and please recover it for me. Logic would make one assume that a check that was sent to Firestone would have to have some type of information with it as to why it was being sent to them . Who sends an awarded warranty claims check without the reason it was sent ? Please contact Camille S and David Verde
