A very strange morning. We arrived at the edge of the loch in completely breathlessly still conditions amidst hanging, freezing mist which at sunrise backlit with sunrise colours the frost twinkling off the frozen reeds and grasses and then out of nowhere it defied all logic and started to rain huge fat heavy raindrops that plummeted into the loch sending little spikes of exploded water into the air and caused more mist to boil from the surface of the loch. It was quite surreal so I used ISO 800 to ensure that the ripple rings and water structure stayed coherent.
