1.5 km downstream from camp, Blencoe Creek plunges into this remarkable gorge system.
The initial twin falls at top of photo are a 90 m drop; the creek then works it way a further 230 m down through a series of falls and cascades.
It is hard to convey the full majesty of this system in a photo. I rate these, along with Wallaman Falls ( http://www.pbase.com/donfranklin/wallaman ) just 50 km away, as the most outstanding falls in Australia.
