Lush Green

One of the definitions for 'lush', when applied to vegetation, is "abounding in lavish growth". I would say that defines this brightly lit plant seen at Delta Ponds very well. I forgot the name of this kind of plant, a problem I have with lots of names. :( The plant has been identified as Giant Hogweed. I found this link that seems to help a lot to ID the plant - http://www.ssisc.info/blog/entry/1983673/giant-hogweed-vs-native-cow-parsnip

Hogweed. One wouldn't expect something named with a combination of two such words to be so lovely. Nicely done, Vern.

A lovely fresh green!

Beautiful capture, nice background- hmm, the name... either it is giant hogweed or garden angelica. I would tend to the latter. Just in case, beware of hogweed, its sap can give you a burn you won't forget in a hurry!

Beautiful light and a lovely composition. Reminds me of Cow Parsnip, but I think those flowers are white not yellow - so not sure. :)
