TELEGRAPH POLE & ROCK LAYERS

British Columbia - Canada

Seen on the Rocky Mountaineer Train trip, layers of different colour rock in the side of the canyon. The railway telegraph poles have now been redundant for many years. In many places they tilt at crazy angles and the wires are broken and/or sagging. They have been left in position as their removal would prove too expensive for the railway companies. However, most of the coloured glass insulators have been taken...they are now collectors' items seen regularly on Ebay.
