Furnace

North Berwick

Scotland was the hottest place on the planet today.
The temperature approached 300șC. It was so hot the lead was melting off the church roofs.
The heat made some people go mad, take off their clothes and jump into the sea.
Behaviour not to be encouraged. Must be something to do with Brexit.

They will be paying the price at night when they are all sunburned. The weather has been crazy!

I was a bit on the warm side.

Truly a hot shot, captured on the 260th of May?
Nirvan Hope27-May-2017 04:20
Lots of redheads - hopefully not red bodies soon. Love the tilt.

I see pre-emptive text is playing havoc with your typing too...
Hahaha...here I have to mention we are 5 days away from the 1st of winter and our dailies are 270C ( convert that to 27C please ) and the bikinis have been packed away :))
I hope they've applied sunscreen to that delicate white flesh !!

LOL ~ funny narrative and a fun candid!

I WAS going to say that I think you mistyped 300ºC when you actually meant 300 Kelvin, but even that seems unlikely for North Berwick. Still, the hair on the lass in the foreground seems to be flaming away in the nicest possible fashion.
John Reynolds LRPS26-May-2017 18:13
Behaviour is excusable at 300 degrees.
globalgadabout26-May-2017 16:57
positively sizzling.... your tilt underscores the extreme temps...300C seems a tad over the top though, hotter than a chat with the ex-wife....weren't there any pubs nearby?

It also seemed to tilt earth on its axis. Eye catching image Bill
