Took a walk on the completed Alexander Zuckerman Bike Path to Yerba Buena Island along the new Eastern span of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge.

In the foreground are the pilings of the old bridge and the new single suspension tower of the new bridge.

The old bridge was damaged from the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake and the new bridge was completed in 2013. With ten lanes, it is the widest bridge in the U.S.
