This cute couple hundred pound female javelina snuck into my yard one afternoon and surprised me when I went to clean the pool. Apparently my wife had left the gate open (my property is entirely fenced) and the javelina decided to check things out. We see them maybe once a month going down the street or around the neighborhood, but we have never had one enter the back yard. A woman and her dog had been attacked by one a week earlier, so I did not want to get too close- she did not want to get too close to us and went the other direction when I approached her, which allowed us open the alley gate and she eventually figured out she could leave that way.
