Project Day 94 - Exile Day 44 - It turns out that the painting company performs a number of other household maintenance tasks, one of them being house cleaning. Here on the Texas Gulf coast, stuff grows on the side of the house. Our house has vinyl siding which beats heck out of a painted house. The only periodic maintenance needed is cleaning the algae of whatever off the side of the house. So that was the big deal today. They also have to clean the bricks. These guys knew their stuff and they had the right equipment. The only bummer was that they knocked down our porch light. It was broken beyond repair. Ginny is scouring the internet for a replacement even as I am typing this. When we finally get to return to the house, almost everything will be new or repaired. Sorta like getting a new house.

For the last week I have been on call for jury duty in the federal courts. I actually like it and always hope I get to serve on a jury which I have done twice. Seeing how the judicial system works from the inside is always an interesting exercise. For federal court you are on call for six days. Late this afternoon I got notification that my six days were up and that I don't have to report this time around. In days gone by, if you were summoned you had to sit around the court house for six days waiting to be assigned to a jury pool. That would truly be a bad situation. I remembered Ginny's mom having to do that.

I think so. It is all
a matter of public record.

No jury duty, could you report on the case John. Here its illegal to disclose anything about a jury's deliberations, or the names of jurors.
