Leica Standard (Leica 1 Model A)

Hockey Stick, black paint with Nickel. A new arrival.
Works well, although the skin is cracked and will probably fall apart.

This black paint and nickel fixed lens model was manufactured in the middle of 1930.
About 16000 units were made in that year, one of two major production years.
This particular model has the seven speed dial, the nickel knob on black paint rewind lever,
the larger advance knob, six screws holding the top plate, and no serial number on the
fixed 50mm 3.5 Elmar (hockey stick infinity lock). Although the skin is brittle, it is still
complete with cracking. The mechanical operations are all smooth and functional.

Apple iPhone 5
1/20s f/2.4 at 4.1mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Wow! That is a very nice add to your collection, Colin.
I have made the choice to leave pbase.com at the end of February, because these guys make not any efforts to correct the localization problem. I am presently transferring all my pictures on Nikon Image Space.
Have a great time and sincerely yours.

Where DO YOU find these things? Would love to see some images shot with this thing. Oh and you used your iPHONE to shoot it, rather ironic.
