Also known as Caroline's Rose, NGC 7789 is a beautiful open cluster in the Constellation Cassiopeia. It is named after its discoverer Caroline Herschel, sister of famed astronomer William Herschel. Apparently, when observed visually, the lanes and loops surrounding it have the appearance of rose petals. It spans 50 light years across, and visually has the angular size of the moon.
