Big Cypress State Park

Big Cypress State Park (Bienville Parish) is an undeveloped property of the Louisiana State Parks System that contains numerous old growth cypress with an average age of 1500 years old. The property is bisected by Saline Bayou which widens into a swamp. Button bush and swamp maple represent understory species. Excellent find and a very good photo, Fred. Amazing size and those knees help it in gas exchange and to stabilize its great size. 8 feet in diameter. A super star cypress. Vote.
