Lancaster Mk.X

QIAS 2016
8 Wing; CFB Trenton, Ontario, Canada

There are two Lancaster Bombers flying in the world today. Lest you think this is No. 3; here is what has happened.

The Mynarski Memorial Lancaster; KB726 VRA was restored with a central fuselage component from Lancaster KB895; WLO; "Lady Orchid". To celebrate this; and for this year only The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum has re-painted the Lancaster with KB895 livery on the port side; and painted the spinners blue as they were on that aircraft; and moved the Mynarski Memorial Plaque to the starboard side and has the KB726/VRA registration on that side.

On a right to left pass; KB895/WLO is seen; and in a left to right pass; the old KB726/VRA is seen.
