This road sign means there is trouble ahead.
52% of the UK population voted to leave the European Union but only 38% of Scottish voters did.
So now we are likely to be faced with a second Scottish Independence Referendum in the next few years.
I drove back from the north of Scotland over roads and bridges partly paid for by the EU. I expect they want their money back.

The bus may have lied about the amount, but Britain WAS a net contributor to EU largesse. I don't think the EU would want to open that can of worms. As for what happens next... the Euro, while a brilliant idea in theory, has been a foot on the throat of countries like Italy for a decade. One currency only works in one completely integrated country / economy (which won't happen, because I can't imagine Frenchmen and Germans seeing themselves as Europeans before Frenchmen and Germans, and have you ever MET a Greek?), or where the countries sharing the currency have equivalent economic power (which is clearly not the case). So we have national governments with no control over monetary or foreign exchange policies, and which are able to use only fiscal policy to stimulate the economy. So either the Euro will go, or countries like Italy and Spain will. The first is perhaps survivable, albeit with a major adjustment of approach. But if they lose another country, and it isn't either Estonia or that place with all the goats, that's likely to be game over.

Independence seems to be the only way for Scotland after this terrible shock !

From where I'm sitting it seems all wrong and quite unbelieveable. A very sad outcome.

Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee, and now this? What are people thinking?

Its shooting yourself in the foot. Hope the damage is contained as much as possible.

I suggest the BBC uses Rob Brydon to compere any future political debates, and at the end everyone would have to declare whether they were telling the truth or a lie!

Dismayed and upset by the outcome. Hope the UK stays together but not optimistic.

No one was given any real facts on what we get back or pay, I blame the weak politicians....

What a disaster, and now some people are saying they want another referendum; apparently many didn't understand what they were voting for, which is pretty hard to believe. Good luck with what lies ahead.
