Memorial, Lavenham church

probably Thomas Spring, merchant of Lavenham a principal beneficiary of the church building during the C16th. Inscriptions not readable in the poor light and past obstructions; anyway more of a rarity over this side of the country. The right half of the coat of arms is of the Spring family

other sizes: small medium original auto

Beautiful work. From a period where you had time to concentrate on the details.

Quite an interesting memorial, and well captured in what must have been pretty low light.
