Orion

view map

From the dark skies of Pinnacles National Park.

Lots to see in this wide field of view of the Orion Constellation.

The first pink blob to the left is the Rosette Nebula, then the orange star of Betelgeuse.
Then a hint of the Flame Nebula, the Horsehead Nebula and the distinctive Orion Nebula.

And a hint of pink Barnard's Loop.

85 frames ( or 42.5 minutes of exposure) stacked with Deep Sky Stacker and processed with Photoshop
