Gloomy day in Rock, Kansas

A revisit to Rock. The last time was a sunny day. Not so today. This town was known for having missile silos during the cold War. All is left is a small cafe and a dozen or so houses.

How sparse and desolate . . and there are some people still living there. , , the houses and cafe.

Someone has built it up, now it is falling apart and will turn to dust...
What a pity!

Nice low angle to emphasize the dismal atmosphere as does the processing.

A beautifully shot image of this barren, lonely and bleak location. A perfect choice for black and white with it's excellent value range and clarity. An image of a place whose time has passed. Well shot Neil. Voted+
