Standing behind the Imperial Council Hall is the Tower of Justice, the tallest structure in the Topkapi Palace. Built to give the sultan a view, it symbolizes eternal vigilance of the sultan against injustice. The tall windows and pediments were rebuilt in 1825 in the Renaissance style.
