Monkey quest: Cultivation

We took a day trip with a group of friends out to this area, which I think was east of Riyadh, to see monkeys, probably baboons, which somebody had seen there before in large numbers. Unfortunately we didn’t encounter any wildlife, but had a nice time visiting and driving around in search of the elusive critters.

View of what looks to be date palm farms. I don’t know what the semi-circular field in the distance is, but some kind of cultivation in the desert.
