I am a modern girl – no really, I am – this blog has been going since before time immemorial and it continues, albeit a bit spasmodically at the moment. That was very modern back in 2003 when it started. Since then, I’ve been on the slippery slope to old age and my modernity has been dwindling faster than my income.

DM, my thoroughly modern man, photographed by yours truly on her brand spanking new Samsung smart phone. Yep, it’s true, I’ve been and gone and done it. I got given some money for my birthday by my Mum and Dad and have actually spent it on a phone.

It may only be a core bit it’s going to do more than I need it to do so that’s just fine by me. It saves me carting my other budget mobile device (my Hudl) to and from the office so I can pick up my emails at lunchtime. I do intend to use it properly so if anyone out there in pbase or facebook land thinks they might at some point want to phone me or text me, let me know and I’ll furnish you with my number…let’s face it, I’m unlikely to have yours! Come and get me my friends. I am a modern girl alright.
