Exposing oneself to the awesome beauty of Arches National Park is tiring. The human mind, overloaded by fantastic shapes and forms, tells the body to "take five." These three visitors did just that, on a fin in the lower part of the Devils Garden Primitive Loop Trail.
Blue = yours truly. Yellow = Michael Ricks. Red = Jack Arnott.
The trail is about 50 yards behind the three recliners. Five other hikers are maintaining a low profile in the photo. The ominous sky got more ominous later. In spite of the ominous sky, my trusty photographic sidekick (Joe Tripod) concentrated on being motionless for this documentive (is that a word?) effort.
Is the garden giving visitors "the finger"?
