Like an exotic Lotus flower, these rare red waterlilies float on the calm water in a small boggy tarn in the forest, way up north in Norway.
Although red, they're still named Nymphia alba, just like the widespread common white version.
Such red waterlilies are very scarce in Norway, known from a mere 2-3 locations in the whole country.
